astroventure in raisar
Raisar, rajasthan
If you are looking for a nice extended weekend or long stay with adventure and live your passion for night sky, Camp Raisar will be a perfect winter destination for you.
Located about 20 KM before Bikaner city of Rajasthan, the place is elegant and exquisite in every possible way. Located in the middle of desert area of Bikaner and surroundings, the camp has miles of isolation around and absolutely no habitation which ensures absolute dark skies.
The skies are dark enough to show some of prominent Deep Sky Objects (DSOs) like Andromeda galaxy, The great Orion Nebula and few others with naked eye. The comfortable stay and delicious food will make your experience better in every aspect.
The destination is a 9 hour drive from Delhi covering 460 kms from centre of Delhi via Delhi-Hissar-Sadulpur-Shri Dungarpur along Bikaner. Just before the the city, the camp will be 5 KM inside the highway. Bikaner is also connected with major cities across India with standard rail network. Many cities have direct flights to Bikaner. You can take one in case you don’t want to drive, however it is advised to travel to Rajasthan via road since the roads in the state are much better than other states. Alternately you can drive from Delhi-Jaipur-Sikar-Ratangarh-Bikaner, a distance of 530 Km but better roads.
Please read our COVID-19 Guidelines to understand how we are ensuring your safety while you enjoy the night sky.
